It’s the most amazing holiday EVER! Who doesn’t love a holiday full of green? I know I do!! In celebration of this amazing day, I’ve made a few tee-shirts to celebrate:) I’m hoping to make a few more variations and logos, but as of right now – I have four for sale in Eden. They’re all 30l, and they come with grey wrist warmers. I hope you all have a great St. Patrick’s Day – I know I’m going to be celebrating on both the 15th and the 17th ;]].

Eden is finally opened!
After weeks of hard work and many late nights, it’s finally been completed. I’m so sorry I haven’t gotten around to posting this earlier, but it has been crazy.

We opened this past Saturday (Feb 23rd, 2008) and within the first three minutes of opening we had over 40 visitors! It was so much fun to showcase all the hard work that has been put into this sim, and hear all the wonderful opinions of people who were seeing it for the first time.

In the past few weeks, Heather Quasimodo and I have been working to make this sim turn into what it has become today, and despite all the rude comments and drama around the issue – we got it done, and it’s turned out so much better than I could have expected. I really want to take this time to thank all the amazing and understanding renters – and of course the amazingly talented Sylver Bu, who without – this project would not have turned out nearly as incredible as it has, and of course the lovely Heather Quasimodo who also had a huge impact on the sim, not only as co-owner – but amazing builder and texturer.

It’s been so much fun to have so much imput on the design of a sim. Eden has turned into something so much more than I could have ever thought possible, and I love every single sqM of it. Every meter of the sim has something new and exciting to discover, and we really hope that you all get a chance to see it for yourself.

It’s been such an amazing transformation, and I’m so proud of this sim. If you guys have any questions, I’ll be so glad to answer them. I hope you all enjoy the sim as much as I do, and I’d love it if you all told me what you think of the sim! =]

Hey everyone, it’s time for me to inform you all of some really exciting news!
With the help of Heather Quasimodo and a few other of my good friends, I’ve taken over management of Eden. We cleared and started re-creating the sim yesterday – and I’m proud to say that our team of builders and designers consists of Heather Quasimodo, Sylver Bu, Natalia Obscure and Brooke Barmy (with a few other surprises as well =P). It’s been so hard for me to keep this a secret, but it was for the best. However, a lot of you have been wondering about all of this – and many of you are getting the wrong idea on what’s been happening. I want to explain it to you as best I can. Here it goes:

Most of you probably know that Asuka Martin will be turning eighteen in a few weeks, and going on to the Main Grid. Asuka is the owner of the private island Dernier Cri, which is well known for it’s high fashion shopping. There’s no doubt that Asuka will become very popular and succeed on the main grid, however, she will be missed around here. In the past few months since I started renting on her sim – Dernier Cri, Asuka and I have formed a friendship, and she’s always been there when I needed someone to talk to, or advice on a new product. It’s always sad to see a friend transfer, but I’m happy for her knowing that she’ll do well on the main grid.

A few weeks ago, Wicked Loudon and Anna Normandy were speaking of getting their own island in which the current Dernier Cri residents could rent. However, I noticed that they were putting down some of the residents that they didn’t consider good enough, and going on to tell them what they thought. Hearing about what they were saying to a few of the current Dernier Cri residents was shocking to me, and a few others. I thought that it was a really low thing for them to do, considering the fact that the residents they told weren’t good enough are really good, and nice people. I talked to one of my friends about this, and she was pretty upset about it as well – however, we bit our tongues, because we didn’t want to start anything against anyone.

Soon after all that happened, Heather Quasimodo and I were joking around in private IM about how we would run a sim, and how much fun it would be. We talked about all these ideas, and how we’d try and mix things up a bit – incorporate our own style into a private island. Later that day, I must have mentioned all of this to Alex Harbinger – and he asked me if I’d like to try and take over management of Eden with the help of Heather. Alex has been really busy offline recently, and loves the idea of having us take one island off his hands.

After Alex mentioned all of this to me, I spoke to Heather about it – and we were really excited. We’d finally have a way to express all of our ideas, and work together. Next, I spoke to Asuka – wanting to get her approval of this, and talk to her about opening Eden around the time she stopped collecting rent for Dernier, so that our friends that wanted to rent with us would have a place to go to right away, and not have to worry about paying two rents. I wasn’t sure how I wanted to mention this to Wicked, because of his plans with Anna to get a sim. After speaking with Asuka, we decided that it would be best to tell him before he found out from anyone else.

He logged on not too long after this conversation, and I sent him a private IM right away. I described everything that was going on, and the plans that we had for the sim to him – and I asked him if he’d like to rent – despite all the disagreements that we’ve had in the past. He seemed alright with the fact that this was going to happen until I told him that we didn’t plan to open the sim until a few days before Asuka was to transfer, that way we wouldn’t be taking any business away from her. Right away, he got angry at me and started making accusations that I was only out to make him ’struggle’.

Since that moment, he’s taken every chance that he can get to harass me. Calling me very rude names, and creating mature objects around my avatar. I’ve kept my mouth shut, and done nothing to anger him into these actions – and reported him for most of it. At this point, I’m not sure what I should do. It seems that way too many of you are getting the wrong idea on what’s been going on – and telling me to back off from this and try to make peace with Wicked. However, I’m not sure how you can make peace with someone that doesn’t want it? I’d be the first one to make amends with Wicked if I thought it was useful.

I hope that clears a bit up for you all, and I’m sorry if I’ve been rude or mean to any of you during the past two weeks or so. It’s been a really busy and stressful few weeks for me in Second Life, and offline. We’re working hard on Eden right now, and it’s sure to be a busy few weeks for me as well. The sim is currently restricted to group members only, and will remain that way until opening – once most of the building is done, renters will be added to the group and we’ll be collecting the first rent payment around February 20th and no later than February 25th. Any renters reading this that haven’t gotten me their notecard PLEASE DO SO ASAP . If you’d like to rent on Eden, please contact me .

In a few days, one of the most amazing people that I have ever met will be turning eighteen and transferring to the main grid. I’ve known this guy for over a year and a half, and he’s always been there to help me whenever I needed it – if it was a problem I had in-world, or offline..he’s always been there to help me – and I can honestly say that he’s one of the people I trust and respect most in the world. I’ve never known anyone that’s been such a patient and caring listener. He’s been such an important role in the development and growth of the teen grid, and his memory will never leave (no..srsly. He’s got himself in a prim form stationed in Behemoth ;]) I found it rather fun to sit on. It’s obvious that I’m going to miss him tons and tons, and I’m so glad that I got the chance to meet him in Chicago over the summer..even though he tried to break my arm a few times AND kicked me and the crew out of his hotel room .

Mal – I’m going to miss you terribly, and don’t you dare think that this whole transfer thing is going to keep me from calling you at random points in time when I’m hanging out with my insane friends <33. I’ll miss seeing your little Snoopy avatar around, but I know that you’ll go on to do some pretty outstanding things on the Main Grid.

“It’s been a great ride everyone. From the first time the TG was used, to now, I’ve always wanted something great, and here it is right in front of me. The Grid has grown in ways I never imagined, and I may not like all of them, but they represent the diversity of human life.
I turn 18 this Saturday, and I’d like to say goodbye to EVERYONE now. You all make this place great. Never forget that.
Please, everyone respect the simulator I’ve come to call home… Behemoth should always be preserved as a little piece of nature, no matter what. Feel free to be there, talk, script, chat, or just hang out and admire the trees. I’ve never wanted anything else. To make things simple:
Always respect what’s there for you, never abuse it, and take time to appreciate what your fellow residents have created. There’s always something new to discover, always something to do to help another person out. If everyone helped someone else once, just once, I think we could make a huge difference on the course of this Grid.

Farewell, friends I’ve known and friends I have yet to meet. I look forward to seeing you all eventually, where you can tell me just how my pride is doing, and what new things are on the Teen Grid.”

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on learning new ways to create and style different types of shirts, and I’ve come up with two new collections – and I’m working on a new one right now..well..kinda, it’s minimized so I can write all this up . Anyway, one of the shirts is called ‘Button Jumper’ – it costs L$40 for each color and it comes in six colors (red, yellow, green, blue, purple and grey). The second one is called ‘Starry Tunic’ – it costs L$60 and with each color you get the jacket and a pair of gloves to match, it comes in eight colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink and grey). Both of the tops can be found in my shop in Dernier Cri =]

With the help of Heather’s tutorials and the tablet I haven’t touched since I got it as a gift almost a year and a half ago, I’ve created my first set of shirts! I’m really happy with the way that they turned out – and I know that they could use some improvement..but it’s only my first try . I’m going to keep trying to improve, and you’ll be seeing a few more shirts over the next few weeks.

The shirts are called Thasia (which means fairy) and they come in five different colors (grey, blue, green, purple and pink). They cost L$70, and included are two different styled shirts and a pair of gloves. They’re only for sale in my Dernier Cri shop right now, but I’ll be trying to get them up in a few new locations soon

I’ve been trying to learn how to make a decent shirt for a long time. The other day, I asked my friend Heather Quasimodo for some help. She was so sweet, and really helped me to understand what tools to use and how to use them. She’s recently created a really helpful tutorial, and it’s been a huge help to me! My first attempt at a shirt isn’t too bad, and though I have a lot to improve – the tutorial is a really great start to understanding how to make a simple t-shirt. Everyone that wants to learn to design should really go and check it out here!

On a different note, one of my good friends Mariel Voyunicef turns eighteen tomorrow – and therefore, she is going to transfer to the Main Grid. Mariel’s always been such an amazing friend to me, and all of the Global Kids. She’s always been there to help me with my events, and anything that I was confused on. It’s really rare to find someone in Second Life, or even offline for that matter, that is always going to be there to help you and to teach you. I’m really glad that I’ve had the oppertunity to work with her, and even though I wish that I could have gotten to know her a bit better, I’m really thankful for all that she’s done to help me grow. I know that I sound really sappy, but it’s true. Mariel, you are really going to be missed – and I wish you all the luck in the world for your future on the Main Grid, and with your future. <3 I love you!!

Hey everyone!

After being a blogger for various sites for over a year now, I decided that it would probably be a good idea to create my own space to blog for all to see. I’ll continue to blog for TSLB, and the occasional Holy Meatballs entry (when I’m asked ). I’m going to try and make this blog as active as I can, and I’ll do my best to inform you all of the interesting news, events and stories that I come across. Right now, I’m just messing around with the different templates – I think this one suits me pretty well, no? Hehe, my obsession with green never stops growing.
